Toronto in the Fall (& New Video!)

Saturday was the celebration of the birth of the Bab (click link to find out more about who the Bab was). Nabil and Karim were performing at the Baha’i center in Toronto, and they asked if I could come and film them. Mr. Naylor was in Calgary for the weekend and he kindly lent us his mustang to take to Toronto, which took the trip to a whole new level of awesomeness. I managed to snap a few photos while we were driving, and you can see those below.

**New Video** Here it is! Freshly uploaded as promised in my previous post. I had a lot of fun working on this, but I must say that the best part was, without a doubt, working with Martharoot, who sings the melody vocals. This was the first time that she had ever had her voice recorded! Karim pulled some classic producer moves (such as telling her that her voice would just be layered overtop of his voice, and then removing his voice from the mix) and managed to convince her to do it, and look at the results. The most rewarding part was seeing the look of shock and joy on her face when she heard her voice played back, and the excitement that everyone else experienced listening to it. Well done, Martharoot!

I’d also like to mention that I now have an official editor for my blog, Ms. Lua Eghanian! So hopefully my words will be a little more coherent now.

I love this shot, riding in the stang.

Thuglife… at the Toronto Baha’i center.

Let’s blast the heat and drop the top. We’re Canadian, eh.
