The title of this collection could have been Haifa Cityscapes, consonant with my other cityscape work. But I already have a Haifa Cityscape collection, and I didn't want to update or alter it, as it stands as a cohesive project that took place in a specific time in my life, and is a visual representation of a particular spiritual path of discovery. This series is an appendum to that original collection.
I've chosen to call it Haifa Skies because the focus is on the light emanating from above. While many of the images capture the concrete construction of civilization, their emphasis is less on the built environment, and more on how the light dances and sings, constantly renewing the same city scenes. You will notice some repetition, and this is intended to capture the feeling that while each moment shares a common city, a common form, no two moments are the same.
